Ulnar Collateral Ligament Tear
Treatment of Elbow Partial Ulnar Collateral Ligament Tears With Platelet Rich Plasma 2012
Seventeen athletes with a partial thickness ulnar collateral ligament tear confirmed on MRI were treated with a single PRP injection under ultrasound guidance. At an average of 19 weeks post treatment sixteen of seventeen athletes had returned to play without any complaints. The results of this study indicate that PRP is an effective option to treat partial ulnar collateral ligament tears of the elbow.
